Scope of Works

Statom is proud to partner with Leicester County Council in the remediation of approximately 7.7 hectares of land, with the objective of restoring it to its original agricultural use. As the appointed Principal Contractor, our team is committed to addressing the residual issues stemming from illegal waste management activities, as specified in the Summers Inman (LCC) documents and our Statom Remediation Method proposals.

Our comprehensive scope of work encompasses site management, MMP generation, dynamic environmental monitoring, waste handling, and more. We are dedicated to responsible waste management, which includes the handling of various waste streams such as stockpiled waste gypsum, buried residual waste, potentially imported waste soils, and soils blended with internal shed waste. Our approach includes proactive segregation, sampling, analysis, and classification, ensuring compliance with Duty of Care for Waste (DoWCoP) regulations.

Our project objectives are clear and essential: to serve as the Principal Contractor during Statom works, establish a controlled waste management regime, clear the site of identified waste materials, provide valuable insights into the contents of the slurry-pit, reinstate the land for agricultural purposes, and deliver comprehensive close-out reports. We are committed to leaving the site in a clean, organised, and suitable condition for productive agricultural use, with benefits extending to all stakeholders involved in this project.
