Statom Group Celebrates Double Win at CONSTRUCT Day 2026

05.10.2026

Statom Group is proud to celebrate a fantastic double win at CONSTRUCT Day 2026, with our Leven Road project winning Project of the Year and Teddy Gatsell taking home the Young Achiever Award.

Held at The Brewery in London on Friday 2nd October, CONSTRUCT Day brought together businesses and individuals from across the concrete structures and construction industry for a day of networking, exhibitions, entertainment and the annual CONSTRUCT Awards.

As Headline Sponsor and an exhibitor at this year’s event, the Statom team started the day at the exhibition, meeting and networking with clients, suppliers and industry professionals from across the sector before the afternoon’s awards ceremony.

Statom Group entered the awards with five shortlisted entries, including Health & Safety and Wellbeing Excellence, Project of the Year – Leven Road, Unsung Hero – Vllanim Lama (Hugo) and two Young Achiever nominations for Lavinia Darie and Teddy Gatsell.

The afternoon continued with the awards ceremony and entertainment from renowned comedian and presenter Dara Ó Briain, before two fantastic results for Statom Group.

Our Leven Road project was named Project of the Year, recognising the work of the teams involved in delivering this major development in Poplar, East London.

Delivered in partnership with Taylor Wimpey, Leven Road forms part of the wider Rivermark development on the banks of the River Lea. Statom’s involvement has seen our teams deliver a range of complex works across the scheme, including reinforced concrete structures, slipform cores, groundworks and major riverwall works.

The project has achieved a number of significant engineering milestones throughout its delivery. These have included the completion of multiple slipform cores and a major 2-metre-deep raft slab incorporating approximately 170 tonnes of reinforcement. Alongside the main development, Statom also delivered the reconstruction of the river wall, strengthening the River Lea frontage and providing long-term protection to the development.

Winning Project of the Year is a fantastic recognition of the scale of the project and the hard work, planning and collaboration of everyone who has contributed to its delivery.

The celebrations continued with Teddy Gatsell being named Young Achiever of the Year, recognising his hard work, development and positive contribution to the Statom team.

Teddy has continued to build his experience across construction management and site supervision, taking an active role in the day-to-day delivery of our projects and supporting the wider site team across a range of responsibilities. He recently achieved a Merit in his Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Construction Management – Construction Site Supervisor, developing his knowledge across areas including health and safety, planning, surveying, building technology and project management.

His progression and willingness to get involved across all aspects of site delivery make the Young Achiever Award a brilliant achievement and an exciting milestone in his career.

Coming away with two awards was a fantastic result and a proud moment for the whole Statom team, recognising both the projects we deliver and the talented people behind them.

A huge congratulations to Teddy, the Leven Road team and all of our 2026 finalists, and thank you to CONSTRUCT for another fantastic event.
