The Borough Triangle redevelopment project in London, involving the demolition of the former Institute of Optometry building.

Our scope of works includes asbestos removal, a comprehensive soft strip, and the full structural demolition of the existing building, supported by the erection of demolition scaffolding. Due to the site's location adjacent to Network Rail infrastructure and alongside the iconic Ministry of Sound, extensive planning, coordination, and logistical management are critical to ensuring the works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Following the completion of the demolition phase, our team will undertake the installation of sheet piling works to support the next stage of the development. We will also be constructing a new hardstanding area to facilitate the temporary relocation of the Mercato Metropolitano food market, ensuring continuity of operations during the wider redevelopment programme.

This project showcases our expertise in delivering complex demolition and enabling works within a challenging urban environment, where safety, stakeholder engagement, and operational efficiency remain at the forefront of every stage.
