Statom Group are pleased to be working on the former Marian Place Gasholder site in Bethnal Green for our valued stakeholder St Williams LLP, part of the Berkeley Group.

This prestigious project involves a new residential development and will also include the retention (including dismantling, refurbishment, and reinstatement) of the two existing gas holder frames to facilitate the redevelopment for a mixed use development comprising of 555 homes.

Our works consist of the construction and completion of five RC Frames over four basements that are within existing gasholder structures (one of which is the oldest remaining of its kind Circa 1866).

This will involve multiple construction techniques, including the use of Slipformed Cores, Precast Stairs and columns in-situ concrete frames.

The frames vary in height from 9 to 13 floors and will be constructed with five brand new tower cranes which will also be used by the stakeholder to install bathroom pods and facilitate the works to the existing steel structures.
