PROJECT PROGRESS
Demolition works are progressing at ESCA House in Bayswater, London. The project involves demolishing a two-storey structure while retaining its façade in a busy residential area.
Our team has completed the soft strip and asbestos removal works and installed the scaffold façade retention system. Approximately 70 tonnes of kentledge blocks support the retained façade throughout the demolition and construction works.
Installing the retention system required careful coordination, including work during night-time possessions over the District and Circle Underground lines. With the façade secured, top-down demolition has begun. Two 5-tonne excavators are dismantling the structure using specialist demolition attachments.
The team continues to coordinate works around neighbouring homes and London Underground infrastructure as demolition progresses.
