Statom is responsible for delivering the CP2A enabling works for the Medworth Energy from Waste (EfW) CHP Facility in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. The facility, being developed by KVI, is designed to process municipal solid waste and non-hazardous industrial waste.

Significant progress has been achieved on site, with key activities including the installation and operation of a site-wide dewatering and temporary drainage system, incorporating water treatment and discharge arrangements in coordination with the Internal Drainage Board. Statom has also delivered critical infrastructure works, including haul roads, the piling platform, the welfare compound, and a new access road, together with associated temporary and limited permanent drainage works. In addition, temporary bases for construction equipment have been installed, and all necessary documentation has been provided to support approvals, alongside the coordination of modifications to existing drainage features such as V-ditches, culverts, and attenuation ponds to facilitate the overall development.

We are pleased with the progress achieved to date and are currently demobilising from site, working collaboratively with KVI to ensure a safe, efficient, and seamless handover of the works.
